Bailey, Colorado

The little blue house.

Just off Highway 285, raising the vibe of whoever walks in. Keriba keeps the door, the shelves, and the company. People come for a stone and leave a little more like themselves.

Hours follow the door, and the door follows Keriba.

The light blue Blue Crow Boutique house in Bailey, behind a white picket fence hung with sunflowers, feather flags flying out front.
The little blue house on Dellwood. Flags up, gate open.

A house, not a hallway of product.

Keriba Blattel wanted a crystal shop long before this one had a door. She had already run businesses, and she had practiced law. When the house in Bailey came open, she took it, bought the stock of a closing crystal shop in Denver, and started putting stones where people could actually touch them.

It turned into more than retail, which Bailey was short on anyway. Neighbors bring their friends. Makers from the county leave their work on the shelves and keep what it earns, aside from the card fee. The rooms are small, so Keriba is choosy, and the inventory changes as fast as it walks out the door.

Customers become family.

Keriba, to The Flume

She named it Blue Crow for the way crows travel together, and for something she doesn't dress up: creation after loss. “I want everyone to be able to pull themselves out of whatever they're going through and find their place in this world.”

You don't need an appointment to be welcome. Come look around. Stay if you feel like talking. She is simply a good person to go see.

The longer telling is in The Flume. Park County keeps a note on Explore Park County.

What the shelves are holding.

A partial list. The true one is whatever got unpacked this week, and Keriba will tell you which stone is in a good mood.

  • Crystals & gems

Spheres, towers, tumbles, specimens. Moonstone, fluorite, jasper, and the piece that catches you on the way to the door.

  • Jewelry & the makers

Handmade work from people she chooses carefully. Artists keep the sale, minus the card fee. That is the deal, and she sticks to it.

  • Candles, incense & Florida water

For a room, a bath, or a stretch of bad luck you don't feel like naming out loud.

  • Books, tarot & oracle

Decks and the books that belong next to them. If you need one sent down the mountain, call. She ships.

  • Evil eye & small protection

The bright blue glass, and the other quiet things people pick up “just in case,” then don't want to put back.

  • Sound & frequency

Wind chimes on the wall, Schumann resonance pieces, and, some weeks, a sound bath. What's actually happening is on Instagram before it is promised here.

  • Gifts, odd and otherwise

For the person who already owns enough mugs. Also for you, if you drove up with no plan and would like to leave with one.

Blue Crow Boutique. A jeweled crow holding an amethyst. Crystals, gems, gifts, metaphysical, and raising your vibe.

“You can be in the worst mood you've ever been in, and just walking in here will put your energy back up.”

Just off Highway 285. Look for the blue house, the blue doors, and the crow sign in the grass. Call before you drive up from Denver. When Keriba is here, the door stays open past the hour on the sign.

Fridays have a habit of turning into a visit. Readings and sound baths are posted on Instagram when they're happening.
